There was also no response to my question about whether Starmix could supply us directly with the spare parts (as opposed to us having to track down a willing retailer). The two part numbers (for the lid and the rails) were confirmed as being correct though I'm not sure why this confirmation was offered as I didn't ask for it. I offered us up as a test group but they didn't bite. In regards to Starmix, there is no chance of any of us getting ahold of even a prototype of the forthcoming OEM sys-dock. OK, I heard back overnight from my contact at Starmix as well as several of the many retailers I contacted. Again, wouldn't it be so much easier if the sys-dock would just be made available worldwide now? Arrghhh. i-Pulse owners on this side of the pond! I wonder how many of us their are? That's potentially a lot of wasted plastic. At this point, I should order a container's worth and set up shop to supply all the Metabo, Mafell, Hitachi, CS Unitec, etc. My hope for the delay in his response is that he's trying to figure out a way to help me (us) out but only time will tell on that front. I've also sent another message to my Starmix contact in Germany. as well as sent followup emails to a Dutch retailer and a German retailer. Update: I've emailed about a dozen Starmix suppliers/retailers in the U.K. spare parts suppliers and making the same request of them (much easier with the language barrier). I just let on as much in the second round of emails to the previously-alluded-to spare parts suppliers. Note - Depending on your particular version, the color scheme may not match.Įxcellent news. There are not any electronics buried in the lid so it should be a fairly straight forward matter to swap lids. Part number is 444673 (for the lid) and 445106 (for the Starfix rails) and the total cost runs about 80 euro (sans GST) plus shipping. IOW I highly doubt they'll be available here anytime soon.Įdit - I should have also mentioned that the Starfix-compatible lid is available in Europe as a spare part - I came across this fact while googling the topic: Even so, I suspect that anyone wanting to outfit their non-Starfix-compatible vac with the forthcoming sys-dock will be forced to find a retailer in Europe willing to ship this part to N.A. In the past, this was annoying since there was no OEM sys-dock option available anywhere in the world for the late model i-Pulse vacs. so it will be be a while before existing stock is sold and somebody (be it Metabo or someone else) decides to import a shipment of the Starfix-compatible machines. Basically, we get the leftovers here in N.A. This is not to be confused with the Starmix "Starfix" rails (which are available as a spare part in Europe) that now come standard on certain versions/packages of the NAINA i-Pulse vacs. The image included in the OP's post shows the forthcoming sys-dock that will give all of us pre-2018 i-Pulse vac owners (and this includes the currently available Metabo-, Hitachi-, CS Unitec-branded versions - which, although they may be marketed as the "latest-greatest" are more than a season behind the most current model) the opportunity to fit systainers, etc., to the top by way of a tool-less adapter that rests on the lid and locks to the handle.
